Four Training Tracks

  1. You are here!
Disciplines

Nine Things We Train

Making things is not enough to hold your ground in the world. To become someone who stays steady in front of anyone, we train these nine at the same time.

01

Breath

Keep your breathing and your voice unchanged under pressure. The moment breathing breaks, thinking narrows.

02

Bearing

Posture, gaze, voice, timing. People judge you from how you carry yourself, before they hear a word.

03

Observation

See only what is there. Separate facts from assumptions. Never judge a person by looks or labels.

04

Reading

Words carry very little information. Read the background: the other side's position, constraints, and what is happening in the world.

05

Ethics

Not memorizing right answers, but being able to state your own view with reasons. And saying thank you in concrete words.

06

Faith and culture

Know what matters deeply to others, and never step on it. The world runs on many different assumptions.

07

Humor

The skill of easing a room. Where to use it, and where not to. Draw your own line that hurts nobody.

08

Generative AI

Wield AI as your own tool. Bring what is possible online into real work and real life.

09

Resolve

Experience failure early. Someone who has already seen the worst does not panic when it comes.

Creed

Five Principles

Five lines to come back to whenever you are lost.

  1. 1

Do not let your breathing break

When breath breaks, thinking narrows. Start by settling your breath.

  2. 2

    Look only at facts

Keep it simple. Separate what you saw from what you assumed.

  3. 3

    Read the background

Behind every word there are circumstances. Think that far before you move.

  4. 4

    Hold your ethics

Do not memorize answers. Be able to say what you think, with reasons.

  5. 5

    Decide your resolve

See the worst case in advance. That is why you stay steady when it arrives.

The sixth weapon: humor

People who are only tense will snap when it counts. The one with room to laugh is the one still standing at the end. But a laugh that hurts someone is not a weapon.

Outcomes
BREATH

Steady

Your breath and your voice stay the same anywhere.

OBSERVE

Clear-eyed

You can see facts without bias.

READ

Perceptive

You can read the background behind the words.

What we mean by training

Training here means discipline, repetition, and clear standards. We never use corporal punishment, shouting, or attacks on a child's character. Fear only produces obedience in the moment. It does not raise a person who can judge for themselves. Rigor is built from standards and repetition, never from violence.
